EIGEN is a unit of the flagship KDDL Ltd. Established in 1983 with a watch dial factory in technical collaboration with Leschot SA of Switzerland, KDDL Ltd (Formerly known as Kamla Dials & Devices Ltd.) has today established itself as the premium manufacturer of high-quality watch dials and hands with state-of-the-art factories at Parwanoo (Himachal Pradesh), Derabassi (Punjab) and Bangalore (Karnataka). KDDL has an annual production capacity of 12 million dials across 4 production facilities.

The watch hands production factory at Bangalore was set up in 1997 and has a capacity of making over 30 million hands annually. Its global customer base is concentrated in India, Switzerland and Hong Kong.

EIGEN, the precision stamping division was established in 2004 to cater to a wide range of requirements from automobile, electronics and other fine engineering applications.

The retail chain ETHOS, established in 2003, has grown into India's largest retailer of Swiss watches.
